About this place
This picnic site is about 35 minutes west of Klamath Falls, among large ponderosa pine, Douglas fir and thick natural growth.
There are picnic tables, fire rings and one vault toilet.
A steep boat ramp takes small boats out to Klamath Lake through a water channel. There is no dock, so expect to wade in to board.
The setting is quiet and out of the way. It sits on the Klamath Basin Birding Trail, and there is a lot of birdlife to see.
June and July are heavy mosquito months. Bring repellent.
There is no drinking water. Bring a lot of it.

The roads around this place are not maintained for a regular car. That comes from the US Forest Service, who grade every road by the kind of vehicle it is looked after for. Those records cover the roads nearby. They do not cover the last stretch in to the campsite, and nobody has checked that part. Treat this as a warning.
