About this place
Mud Creek is 35 minutes northeast of Lakeview. It is quiet. There are seven roomy sites among ponderosa and lodgepole pine, with some aspen and cottonwood.
Each site has a picnic table and a fire grate. There is drinking water, and there is one vault toilet.
People fish here, watch birds and wildlife, and wade in Mud Creek.
The Crane Mountain National Recreation Trail is two miles west, reached at the Walker Trailhead.

The roads around this place are not maintained for a regular car. That comes from the US Forest Service, who grade every road by the kind of vehicle it is looked after for.
