About this place
The ground here runs from benchland to steep hillside, between 6500 and 7200 feet.
The country around holds high basins and steep peaks. Several peaks on the main ridge nearby go over 9000 feet.
Lower down, on the moister northern side, there are dense stands of aspen mixed with Douglas fir and lodgepole pine. Higher up it is brush.
Under the trees you find Oregon grape, pinegrass, snowberry, willow and serviceberry.
Deer and elk live here, along with a lot of birds and small mammals, and the small tract suits all of them well enough.
